Plural Form of Nouns

There are some rules to make a singular noun into a plural:

1) In most cases, simply add "s".
notebook/notebooks, car/cars, orange/oranges
2) If the word ends in -s, -ss, -sh, -ch, -x, you add "es"
bus/buses, glass/glasses, dish/dishes, watch/watches, wax/waxes
3) If the word ends in a consonant + y, drop the y and add "ies"
city/cities, body/bodies, baby/babies
ATTENTION: If the word ends in a vowel + y, just add "s": play/plays, enjoy/enjoys

Of course, in English for almost all rules there are exceptions, and it is not different. There are irregular nouns that don't follow the rules above. In this case, there is no magic bullet. It is necessary to decorate them. See below for the most common irregular nouns:

  1. The English of your sentences beginning with "Of course, ..." requires repair. Your tabular layout is excellent. Thanks for it. It was a layout I was in search of and can use.
