The beans are "red'!

One day I was cooking black beans, and I told my friend:

    J: Hey, the beans are red. 

My friend said: 

    D: What???

He came quickly close to the stove. When he saw the beans he said:

    D: Ahh they are ready. I thought the black beans were red.

We both laughed!! 

In this case, I didn't pronounce the letter y. It made my friend confused. That's a typical case of misunderstanding.
